Actor Lorenzo Lamas, star of “Grease”, “Leave it to Lamas,” and his own series “Renegade,” and many other television and film productions, came to Dr. Mani for a facelift and other rejuvenating procedures.

Dr. Mani performed a Harmonic mini-lift, along with facial fat/stem-cell transfer, and a very subtle endoscopic browlift to reverse the aging changes Lorenzo had noticed.

                                                                                                                                  Dr. Mani uses Harmonic technology to perform facelift procedures.  This technology, brought to us by Johnson & Johnson, allows Dr. Mani to gently separate tissues with ultrasound, resulting in dramatically less swelling and bruising and a quicker recovery.

Dr. Mani is a pioneer in the use of Harmonic Technology and instructs other plastic surgeons in its use as a consultant for Ethicon Endo-Surgery (a division of Johnson & Johnson).  He is the only surgeon on the West Coast with significant experience using Harmonic for facelifts.  The benefits of gentler surgery, decreased tissue trauma, and quicker recovery have become clear to Dr. Mani over two years of using Harmonic, and he uses it to perform every facelift. 

Another major benefit of Harmonic technology is the abililty to do facelift procedures under local anesthesia, without any general anesthetic or even sedation.  If you are a candidate for this option, time of recovery (and costs of the procedure) are dramatically reduced.  Dr. Mani will discuss this with you in detail during your consultation. 

Facelift incisions

Dr. Mani has developed a technique for facelift incisions which leaves an incision that is predominantly within the ear, and virtually undetectable, even on close inspection:

Susan, 42, noticed early drooping of the jowl area and complained of “looking tired.”  She also wanted a procedure to smooth out the irregularities of her facial skin left over from acne scarring.
